This event highlights the role of local de-carbonisation initiatives and Women Environmental Human Rights Defenders in just transitions. Examples from Global Majority countries show how they protect their local community from environmental harm, resource grabbing, gender-based violence. Speakers: Speakers will include representatives from climate justice, Indigenous Peoples, feminist, and human rights, and grassroots climate activists, and advocacy allies from governments and institutions at country level. Three additional organizations (e.g.Aksi!, Escr-net and AMwA) will participate.
